Text Box: Permission Slips and field trip fee will be accepted no later than April 26.4th Grade Field Trip

to El Rancho de las Golondrinas

Dear Families:

On Thursday, May 4, 2017 the fourth grade classes will be traveling to El Rancho de las Golondrinas. This historic ranch was an official stop on el Camino Real and is now a living museum.  We are fortunate to be able to participate in Spanish Colonial Days where the ranch will be alive with costumed volunteers and hands on opportunities.

Students should bring $7 when they return their permission slips.  On the day of the trip they will need to wear comfortable shoes, hat, and sunscreen (we will be outside all day).  Students will also need a sack lunch in a disposable bag.

We will need many parents to come along. All parents must have a current District Volunteer Badge to attend any school field trip. If you already have a badge and would like to attend the field trip, the fee is $3.50. If you do not have a District Volunteer Badge and want to attend this field trip, you can go to rrps.net, select the parents tab, and then click on the Volunteer tab. The cost of the badge is $19.00 and is valid for 2 years. It will take 24-72 hours to get an approval. Once you receive the approval via email, you will need to bring your driver’s license or state issued ID prior to the field trip to be scanned into the system. If you have any questions please contact your child’s teacher. Unfortunately, we will not have enough room on the buses to transport chaperones.

Please return the permission slip and admission fees for students and chaperones by April 26th.  This should be a fun day and a wonderful experience for all the students.  We look forward to seeing you there.
